Listen, God! Please, pay attention! Can you make sense of these ramblings, my groans and cries? King-God, I need your help.So far this is how I feel my heart just wants to understand.
Every morning
you'll hear me at it again.
Every morning
I lay out the pieces of my life
on your altar
and watch for fire to descend.
Lets go on:
You don't socialize with Wicked,
or invite Evil over as your houseguest.
Hot-Air-Boaster collapses in front of you;
you shake your head over Mischief-Maker.
God destroys Lie-Speaker;
Blood-Thirsty and Truth-Bender disgust you.
Identifying that God is not Satan is always a good step.
And here is the part where I am currently:
And here I am, your invited guest—
it's incredible!
I enter your house; here I am,
prostrate in your inner sanctum,
Waiting for directions
to get me safely through enemy lines.
Thats where I'll stay until You say further...or at least doing to the best of my ability.
Every word they speak is a land mine;
their lungs breathe out poison gas.
Their throats are gaping graves,
their tongues slick as mudslides.
Pile on the guilt, God!
Let their so-called wisdom wreck them.
Kick them out! They've had their chance.
SO....don't let the world influence my decisions.
But you'll welcome us with open armsDECKING us out in Delight....mmmm I like that.
when we run for cover to you.
Let the party last all night!
Stand guard over our celebration.
You are famous, God, for welcoming God-seekers,
for decking us out in delight.
So its going to be awesome when the party he has planned comes to pass.
I've been seeking direction when I've already been given the direction to wait. I think i'm going to choose to wait. It seems to be the theme lately, waiting on God for everything. I've been told that Steve needs to be trimmed but I don't agree there are some damaged leaves but Overall he is still growing I believe I will know the right time to prune Steve. I believe I am waiting for a pruning as well and I think I'll know for sure when that is because God is faithful to keep us growing. I think he is bringing to mind some old damaged leaves of mine and will soon be pruning them away.
Good call. We too often do what others tell us we should do and I would ask, by what experience or authority are they imparting their information? If you wait you will know. Don't make a move until. Now if a Botinist were to appear, look at my plant and tell me to prune it... I' d have to seriously consider doing it.
ReplyDeleteI ma acutely aware that perhaps God is telling so many of us to wait is because we have put our definition on the word "wait?"
